Family Tree

Family Tree refers to the lineage of a man from the perspective of biology. That is his ancestors, both from the side of his mother and father are the members of his personal Family Tree. A Family Tree is usually drawn in the shape of a flow chart or pyramid, where the intended member sits at the apex of the Family Tree. Immediately below him are placed his parents and paternal uncles and aunts if any. Members of the mother's side are also included in the Family Tree. Detecting the Family Tree is very essential if one has to trace the family background of an individual. Besides, knowing the lineage of historical characters and famous personalities a Family Tree can also help doctors trace the root of a deadly disease. Many diseases like some types of cancer, myopia, diabetes, Alzheimer's, AIDS, genetic diseases and cardiac malfunction are hereditary. Hence patients infected with any of these diseases may have to offer a detailed study of the diseases found in the Family Tree.

Paediatricians and Cardiologists across the world see to it that all those who have had instances of pulmonary diseases, lung diseases and other hereditary illness follow a restricted lifestyle from the very beginning. For all those who have had traces of some deadly diseases in their Family Tree can hardly afford to be casual about it. Obesity, Tuberculosis, some types of skin cancer and allergies are also believed to have been influenced by the Family Tree of the victim. Family Tree also affects the DNA construction and brain development of the children it is majorly believed that all the Family Trees across the world are subjected to continuous changes. Such changes occur with the inclusion of newer members in the family. However, majority of the changes are noticed in those Family Trees which are flexible about the inclusion of new members.

A flexible Family Tree is one that does not maintain any kind of taboo regarding inter community and intercaste marriages. Most of the modern societies are believed to have such flexible Family Trees. However, instances of rigid Family Tree may still be noticed in those societies where one is not allowed to marry within one's own sect and caste. It is believed that a flexible Family Tree is more likely to have a less varied gene pool, than a rigid Family Tree. That is a rigid Family Tree continuously destroys all the good genes present within its gene pool by restricting the mingling of different gene pools. Besides, the complexion of a man, physical features, looks and structure of the body along with the development of the brain all may be affected by the Family Tree of a man.

Many a times a Family Tree may stop expanding if the latest members of the family choose to live an asocial lifestyle or turn out to be impotent. In a patriarchal societies, most of the Family Trees are named after the last traceable male member of the family. But dynasties of the past, which maintained a matriarchal society often formed the family lineage after the oldest woman of the family.
